Meet Kory Kearney

Director of Photo & Video, Bird + Bird Studio

We’re thrilled to welcome Kory Kearney as the newest face behind the lens at Bird + Bird Studio. As our first-ever Director of Photo & Video, Kory brings a cinematic eye and a marketer’s brain to every frame, bridging the artistry of storytelling with the strategy of brand impact.

Kory’s journey into commercial storytelling didn’t start in a studio; it began on sets. With a rich background in cinematography for TV, in-house brand storytelling, and entrepreneurial ventures, Kory is no stranger to navigating complex productions, tight timelines, and tighter narratives. He’s a trusted guide for clients looking to bring their stories to life through visuals that not only look good, but work hard.

His role is full-spectrum. From collaborating with Adam on initial concepting to polished delivery, Kory leads with a collaborative, adaptive approach that aligns creative output with brand objectives. Whether it’s a nimble product shoot or a large-scale campaign, he’s known for crafting content that’s as strategic as it is striking.

Outside the studio, Kory continues to give back to the creative community through his passion project, Great Lake Sessions—a video series designed to amplify emerging musicians by giving them access to professional storytelling tools, completely free of charge.

Based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Kory is a director, cinematographer, photographer, editor, and above all, a visual problem-solver.
